The highly anticipated Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016 is about to kickoff few hours from now and everyone around the world are very keen on the grandiose opening ceremony and upcoming events.

It is first time that the Olympics will be held in Brazil and in South America.

The opening ceremony will be broadcasted live by NBC in the US on August 5. Its is also to be aired by NBC's Telemundo Channel.

In the Philippines, the 2016 Rio Olympics will start at around 7 AM (PST) on August 6 and will be aired exclusively by TV5.

Philippines is hosting Miss Universe 2016

After 20 years, the Philippines will once again host Miss Universe, the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world, in the universe rather.

According to the Department of Tourism, the pageant will be held in Manila in on January 30, 2017. That's about six months to go.

Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo said that President Rodrigo Duterte has already made a go-signal for the country to host the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, as long as it wouldn't generate heavy traffic around metro. She added that the government will not spend any budget for the pageant, instead, the private sector will carry the cost of the pageant's production amounting to $11-M.

The last country that hosted Miss Universe was the United States in 2015. Philippines' Pia Wurtzbach has won the title which has been elusive for the Philippines in more than three decades.

BREAKING: Road rage suspect Vhon Tanto arrested in Masbate

After few days of manhunt operation, the joined forces of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) have finally captured and arrested former Army reservist Vhon Tanto, the suspect of the Quiapo road rage accident wherein cyclist Mark Vincent Garalde was killed.

The suspect was located by the elements of the Philippine Army at around 11:50AM in Barangay Poblacion East, Milagros, Masbate.

Tanto will be transferred in Manila for further investigation. The victim's family is filing a case against the suspect through the help of Public Attorney's Office. Tanto is facing murder and frustrated murder charges.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will having his first ever State of the Nation Address (SONA) today, July 25, 2016.

Filipino across the Philippines and throughout te globe are keen to hear the President's speech. The SONA is held at the Congress traditionally and attended by many, including the President's Cabinet, his family, and the members o the Diplomatic Corps. Former Presidents Fidel V. Ramos, Gloria M. Arroyo and Joseph E. Estrada will also attending the monumental event.

Pokemon Go is now available in Philippines and Singapore!

Nintendo's Pokémon Go is undeniably one of the most addicting games on the planet today. Everyone elsewhere is talking and playing about it. And literally this highly-entertaining mobile game is taking over the world.



Pokémon Go is currently available for download in few countries such as the United States, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Germany. The availability of the game on the other countries is still yet to be announced as Niantic, Inc, the game's developer disclosed that the overwhelming success of the game created some problems of its servers due to a tremendous number of users engaging. Fortunately, they had already fixed it and maybe in the next few days the game will be ready for download in more countries, including the Philippines.

In a recent announcement, Niantic said that they "do not have any announced plans for countries beyond New Zealand, Australia, US and Germany at the moment."

However, some sources revealed that the game will be rolled out in Southeast Asia countries, including the Philippines, in the next few days. So for the avid Filipino Pokemon fanatics out there, just be patient.

But wait, those users in unsupported countries who can't wait to have Pokemon Go in their mobile screens can actually download its APK file on Android through this LINK. Please be guided that this is not the official release of the app and it might contain viruses, malware and other security risks.

For iOS players, they could have the game by creating a new Apple ID which has their location set either in Australia, NZ, US, UK and Germany. After creating a new account, log in and go to Settings > General > Language > Region. And you're good to go!

Pokémon Go is a free-to-play mobile game which comes with an augmented reality experience, wherein players are given a map of their immediate surroundings to roam around in the real world in order search and catch Pokemons to train and have them in the battles. The PokéStops are the locations in which you can collect Pokéballs while the Gyms are the places where Pokémon masters battle each other using their captured Pokemons. Sexy Kapuso actress Solenn Heussaff is once again gain the attention of the netizens as she posted a video on Snapchat which in which she "accidentally" exposed her breast.

The video is currently making round online, viewed by curious netizens as it was being shared in various video sharing sites, such as YouTube and Facebook. The video is titled "Solenn Heusaff nip slip on Snapchat."

Pinoy Big Brother Season 7 new housemates revealed

After months of waiting, the longest-running and most successful reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) will once again again rock your TV this July!


PBB Season 7 is gonna be a new taste of entertainment as the new batch of housemates were finally chosen from a series of auditions around the world, wherein thousands of aspiring housemates had auditioned to make it to the upcoming season.

Earlier today, on noontime show It's Showtime, Big Brother revealed his first housemates. They are MCcoy De Leon and Nikko Natividad, members of the boy group #Hashtags. The two lads will serve as a 2-in-1 housemates in the 7th season. The next housemate to be introduced will be seen on Asap on Sunday, July 3.

According to sources, the new season will also be a mixed of the three types of housemates: regulars, teens and celebrities. Expect for some big announcement soon as the premiere of PBB Season 7 is getting nearer.

Toni Gonzaga-Soriano, Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla reunite as the main hosts, together with Robi Domingo.

The pilot airing of PBB Season 7 is slated on July 11, 2016 on Kapamilya Network ABS-CBN.

The much-awaited historical event, the inauguration of incoming Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is embarking today, June 30, 2016. The inauguration will be held at the Rizal hall at the Malacanang Palace. It is the second time that a President will take his oath at the particular venue.

Outgoing President Benigni Aquino III and the new president are now at the Malacanan Palace to formally pass and receive the title as the 16th President of the Philippines.
