The box office figures for the two front runners namely My Little Bossings and Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) on its 6th day of showing has been unofficially released today, December 31 - and the results of the two comedy films were ridiculously so close!
According to the figures given by Eric John Salut, an ABS-CBN executive, the difference between the results was only at around P1.7-M, or almost tied! With Little Bossings garnering a majestic P230.4-M, while the main rival Girl Boy raked a whooping P228.7-M! The gross difference between the two comedy entries on the 6th day is much lower than that of the previous updates.
Now that, as the last week of the 39th MMFF is coming, expect that the top slot will be changed dramatically, in a span of 36 hours!
Meanwhile, KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's loveteam monicker) starrer Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay had already surpassed the P100-M mark as of December 30, making it as one of the highest grossing horror movies in the history of MMFF, and en route to become the highest grossing Filipino horror film of all time.
The results for the other films are not yet released by the MMFF committee, or any auxiliary connections.
