The word war started when Cooper criticized the poor relief effort of the government on the calamity victims, which was also seconded by the majority of the international press.
In defense of her husband Mar Roxas, who served as an interior secretary, Sanchez contradict the Cooper's criticism and conveyed her complaints against him through her radio program.
“Itong si Anderson Cooper, sabi wala daw gov’t presence sa Tacloban. Mukhang hindi niya alam ang sinasabi niya,” she stated.
That alone easily reached the side of the international reporter. The he expressed his thoughts against Sanchez accusations through on air (on CNN).
He said, "The wife of interior minister who's over seeing the relief effort on the ground the Sanchez seemed on mistaken impression that I said I saw no presence of the Philippine government on the ground in Tacloban. I never said that obviously I've been in Tacloban for days and I've been in fact interviewed of a very heroic of a navy captain, Capt. Santiago who's going out helping people I've seen the work has been done and the work it isn't done perhaps even as importantly. Miss Sanchez is welcome to go there and urge to go there. I don't know if she has but her husband is in charge I'm sure she can arrange her flight."
Meanwhile, a DZMM insider has confirmed the cancellation of her radio show. Insisted that she wasn't fired by ABS-CBN, but decided to finish her masteral degree in London.
Apparently, Sanchez has filed her resignation from Rated Korina.
Sanchez's timeslot will be replaced by the tandem of Amy Perez and Marc Logan beginning on January 6, 2014.
